About Chandigarh Police ASI Exam:
Candidates who successfully applied online for Chandigarh Police ASI Executive Recruitment will be called two level single exam, The exam dates will be notified soon on their official website. After the written test all the shortlisted candidates will be called for physical efficiency test.

Exam Pattern of Chandigarh Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Executive):
The Chandigarh Police ASI Exam Pattern and Syllabus details are as follows;
- The exam will be conducted multiple choice objective type
- Question paper will be based on OMR Sheet (Offline).
- there will be a single exam of two levels, As per the details given below;
- Tier I (Objectives) – OMR Sheet Based Test (50 Marks).
- Tier II (Subjective) – Written Test (50 Marks).
- time period will be two hours (02:00 pm)
- The question paper for Tier-I and Tier-II test will be in Hindi, English and Punjabi languages.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

The minimum qualifying cut off marks in Tier-I test for each category will be as follows:-
- General Candidates – 50%
- SC Candidates – 40%
- OBC candidates – 40%
- Ex-Servicemen Candidates – 40%
Comment : Only those candidates who obtain the above qualifying marks in Tier-I Test will be eligible for evaluation of their Tier-II/Test. The shortlisted candidates after aggregate marks in Tier-I and Tier-II test will be called for PE and MT of 10 times of the candidates of each category in the order of merit.
Chandigarh Police ASI (Executive) Syllabus:
(I) gk and current affairs , History, Geography and Sociology of the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the Economic Development of India. Knowledge of contemporary events of national and international importance and such subjects of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on Current Events, Sports, Entertainment, Modern History of India, Indian Culture, Indian Polity and Economy, Geography of India.
(Second) Numerical Ability:, The test of Arithmetic and Numerical Ability will include Simplification, Decimal, Fraction, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Ratio, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time and Work, Number System with questions on time . and distances, tables and graphs, etc.
(III) IQ / Reasoning Ability :- The syllabus of General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on similarities, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationships, concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series etc. .
(IV) Ethics and Human Interface: Essence, determinants and consequences of morality in human action, dimensions of morality, ethics in private and public relations. Human Values- Lessons from the life and teachings of great leaders, reformers and administrators, the role of family, society and educational institutions in inculcating values.
(v) IT Knowledge :- Computer Programming, Computer Design, Complete Computer Knowledge, Date Mining, Web Development, Software Skills, Data Structure, Windows Operating System etc.
Chandigarh Police ASI Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test:
Only candidates fulfilling the height criteria will be allowed to proceed in PE & MT as per the following criteria:-

5 feet 2 inches (for female)

(Second) 500 meters in two minutes and thirty seconds (woman)
(III) for Former serviceman Above 35 years of age, will appear in Physical Efficiency Test a mile Jog in 10 minutes.

For female Candidate : Three feet
Comment : No marks will be awarded for this test and PET/PST will be qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to qualify each program of PET/PST who do not qualify will be eliminated.
