Indian Navy Agneepath Pay Scale: Indian Navy will release official detailed notification PDF for the recruitment of Agneepath through Indian Navy Agneepath Recruitment 2022, where Agniveers will be recruited as Agniveers (SSR) and Agniveers (MR) for 4 years. What is Agneepath Scheme?

On 14 June 2022, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the transformative Agneepath scheme for the recruitment of youth into the Indian Armed Forces, who will be referred to as Agneepath after joining. The Agneepath scheme is a major defense policy reform in the HR policy of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

For the first time, women sailors will be deployed on warships

Under the Indian Navy Agneepath scheme, posts of women sailors will be opened for the first time. On completion of training, women firefighters will be posted on board ships depending on the vacancies and facilities on board. Women take the same training as men. However, there are separate quarters for the women.

Indian Navy Agneepath 2022: Agniveer Enrollment, Service, Discharge

Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Navy under the Navy Act 1957 for a period of four years. Agniveers will be from a separate rank in the Armed Forces, which will be different from any existing ranks.

On completion of the period of four years, Agniveer will go back for employment in other sectors as disciplined, dynamic, motivated and skilled workforce in the society, thereby contributing further to nation building. The Armed Forces are not obliged to retain Agniveers beyond the period of engagement of four years. The skills acquired by each Agniveer will be recorded in a certificate to form part of his/her resume.

Based on the organizational requirement and policies promulgated by the Indian Navy, Agniveers completing their engagement period in each batch will be provided an opportunity to apply for enrollment in the Indian Navy. These applications will be considered in a centralized manner on the basis of performance during their appointment period and not more than 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in the regular cadre.

Firefighters selected for enrollment as regular cadre in the Indian Navy will have to serve for a minimum additional service period of 15 years and will be governed by the terms and conditions of service of Sailors in the Indian Navy as amended from time to time.

Agniveer will not be eligible for Ex-Serviceman status.

Release on own request Release on own request will not be allowed before the completion of the period of engagement. However, in exceptional cases, personnel enrolled as firefighters can be released with the approval of the competent authority.

Indian Navy Agneepath 2022: Agniveer Training

Selected candidates will undergo basic training at INS Chilka followed by vocational training in the allotted trade at various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/Business will be allotted as per service requirement.

Indian Navy Agneepath 2022: Agniveer Duty

As Agniveer (SSR), one will be part of a high-tech organization in which they will work on powerful, advanced ships such as guided missile destroyers and frigates, aircraft carriers, replenishment ships and high-tech submarines and aircraft. The range of operations may include operating on a variety of equipment such as sonar, radar, or communications or the firing of weapons such as missiles, rockets, or guns.

Agniveer (MR) as Chef, you will be preparing food according to the menu (vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including handling meat products), and accounting for rations. You will also be given firearms training.

Agniveer (MR) as StewardYou will be serving food in officers’ mess as housekeeping, waiter, account of funds, wine and store, preparing menu etc. You will also be trained in firearms.

Agniveer (MR) as HygienistYou will maintain cleanliness in the washroom and other areas. You will also be trained in firearms.

Indian Navy Agneepath 2022: Agniveer Pay Scale, Perks, Benefits

Agniveers will be paid a customized package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed annual increment. Annually, candidates will be paid Rs 4.76 lakh in the first year which will increase to Rs 6.92 lakh in the fourth year.

About Rs 11.71 lakh (tax-free) will be given a lump sum service fund package which will include their monthly contribution by the government as well as their monthly contribution on completion of the period of their engagement, as shown below:

In addition, risk and hardship, dress and traveling allowance will be paid.

48 lakhs will be provided with a non-contributory life insurance cover for the duration of the period of their engagement as Agniveers in the Indian Armed Forces.

compensation for death

Will not be governed by the provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/Rules for Firefighters Related Services (as amended from time to time).

In case of death, the following will be admissible to next of kin (NOK) from Agniveer Corpus Fund:

(i) Insurance cover as applicable

(ii) all other compensation as given below

classification of death For the purpose of providing financial benefits to Agniveers, the death shall be classified as follows:

(a) Category X: The death was neither caused by natural causes nor aggravated by military service during the period of the engagement.

(b) Category Y: Death due to causes which are admitted or aggravated by military service or death due to accident/accident in performance of duties including training during the period of engagement.

(c) Category Z: Death due to acts of violence/assault by terrorists, anti-social elements, enemy during the period of engagement, during border skirmishes/war/peacekeeping operations/assistance to civilian power etc.; and combat vaccination training/exercise during operational preparedness and training for war and accidental deaths due to natural calamities/operations specifically notified by the Govt. e.t.c.

If an Agniveer is placed in Permanent Low Medical Category (LMC), the authorities will assess the compensation based on the percentage of disability and specialty as per details:

Lump sum ex-gratia of ₹ 44/25/15 lakh depending upon the % of disability.

Full pay for unserved period of up to four years (effective from the date of disability) including service fund component.

Balance (as on date) credited to the Service Fund of the individual including interest and Government of India contribution.

Benefits for personnel exiting four years of service

After completing four years of service (as applicable), the following benefits will be provided to the exiting persons:

(One) Service Fund Package. On discharge in four years, an amount of ₹ 5.02 lakh will be matched by the Government of India, an amount of ₹ 10.04 lakh and interest earned will be given to the Agniveers.

(b) ‘Skill certificate of Agniveer. At the end of the engagement period, Agniverse will be awarded a detailed skill set certificate, highlighting the level of skill and competency acquired by the personnel during the period of their engagement.

(C) Certificate of class 12th. Firefighters who are enrolled after passing 10th standard will be given certificate for 12th (equivalent) on completion of their period of four years engagement on the basis of acquired skills. Detailed instructions will be issued separately.
